The Washington Diplomat is a metro Washington, D.C., monthly newspaper covering international and diplomatic news. Each issue regularly features an in-depth interview with a foreign ambassador that focuses on his or her diplomatic goals in this country and diplomatic relations. Another regular feature is the profile of a person of world influence, such as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Bill Richardson. The comings and goings of ambassadors and other embassy personnel are tracked in a monthly diplomatic Appointments department. For a glimpse of the international social life in Washington, Diplomatic Spotlight shows photos of ambassadors and other foreign dignitaries in social settings and cultural events.
Other regular features include a column on social customs in other countries, a travel column that often explores exotic and off-the-beaten path areas in the world, and column that reviews some of the lesser-known places to visit in the Washington Area.
The Washington Diplomat has the largest directory of international films in the area, with nearly a complete listing of films, showing at embassies. Reviews of international art exhibits, cultural events, music, sports and restaurants round out The Washington Diplomatâs dedication to serving the diplomatic and international community.
The Washington Diplomat distributes 30,000 newspapers monthly. It is distributed to all foreign embassies in Washington, D.C., World Bank, OAS, IDB, U.S. Department of State, Capitol Hill, White House and other points of influence within the Washington metro area. |
